Get ready for WhatsApp in 7 simple steps

If not, do this:

1. 1.Open the Facebook sign-up page and create an account with your real name (Meta checks identity).
2. 2.Verify your email or mobile number when Facebook asks.

This personal login is only the key to Meta's business tools. Customers never see it.

Already have it? You can open business.facebook.com and see your business name. (It used to be called “Business Manager”.) Skip to the next step.

If not, do this:

1. 1.Open Meta Business Suite with the link below and click “Create a business portfolio”.
2. 2.Enter your business name, your name and your work email, then confirm the email Meta sends you.
3. 3.Fill in your business address and website if asked.

Use the legal business name exactly as it appears on your GST or incorporation papers. It makes verification smoother.

Already have it? Your portfolio shows “Verified” under Security Center. Skip to the next step.

If not, do this:

1. 1.Open Business settings → Security Center → “Start verification”.
2. 2.Enter your legal business name, address, phone and website.
3. 3.Upload one document: GST certificate, incorporation or registration certificate, PAN, or a recent utility or bank statement.
4. 4.Confirm by email, phone call or a code on your website domain.

You can connect and test with a small audience before this is approved. Verification is what lifts the limit above 250 customers per day and shows your official business name.

Already have it? A SIM or landline that can receive an SMS or a voice call, and is not registered on the WhatsApp or WhatsApp Business app. Skip to the next step.

If not, do this:

1. 1.Pick a number you will use only for your business messaging.
2. 2.If it is already on WhatsApp, open that app → Settings → Account → Delete account first (this removes the chats on that number).
3. 3.Decide your display name. It should match your brand or website, because Meta reviews it.

Don’t use your personal number. A new low-cost SIM or a landline works well.

Already have it? Your Meta Business portfolio shows a card under Billing & payments. Skip to the next step.

If not, do this:

1. 1.Open Meta “Payment settings” with the link below and choose your business portfolio.
2. 2.Click “Add payment method”, choose your WhatsApp Business account if asked, and enter your credit or debit card details. Other options such as UPI or net banking may appear depending on your country.
3. 3.Save. You can come back any time to change the card, and the “Payment activity” page shows every invoice Meta has raised.

Meta charges you directly for each message (see “What it costs”). BulkyGrow never touches this money. You may also be prompted to add the card while connecting in the next step.

If not, do this:

1. 1.In BulkyGrow go to Settings → WhatsApp number and click “Continue with Facebook”.
2. 2.Log in, pick your business portfolio, then create or choose your WhatsApp Business account.
3. 3.Enter your phone number and display name, and type the code Meta sends by SMS or call.
4. 4.Done. The page will show your number, quality rating and daily limit.

We never see your Facebook password. Meta gives us a secure, limited token.

Already have it? At least one approved message template. Skip to the next step.

If not, do this:

1. 1.Go to Templates → New template, write your message, and submit it. Meta usually approves within minutes, sometimes up to 24 hours.
2. 2.Add contacts who agreed to receive messages from you (import a CSV or add them one by one).
3. 3.Create a campaign with your approved template and send it to yourself first.

WhatsApp only lets you start a conversation with an approved template, and only to people who opted in.
